If you are in sales and are always on the hunt for new sales techniques and strategies, but you are not following the GOP Presidential Election Race, you are missing a great education on the Sales Success MindSet.
The other day I posted the Immutable Marketing Law #5 The Law of focus. This law more than all the others has the power to win or lose elections. The law simply stated is described as “The Most Powerful Concept in Marketing is Owning a Word in the Prospects Mind”. As we watch the GOP Debates, we are literally watching 7 canidates jockey for differentiation in the minds of the voters to win the big prize.
Laws govern all phases of our existence. Laws exist weather we are aware of them or not. We have laws in Science. For instance, we have the Law of Gravity. If you do not understand this law, and violate its terms, you could end up breaking an arm, your neck, or worse. We all eventually, through trial and error figure out the effect of gravity on the way we live our lives and learn to live within its parameters. If we don’t, we pay the price for ignoring them.

We have all heard the saying “Perception is Reality”. Well in the world of business marketing perception isn’t only reality, it is everything. Immutable Law #4 teaches us that “Marketing Is Not A Battle Of Products, It Is A Battle Of Perceptions.”
Continuing on our lesson into The 22 Immutable Laws of Marketing, we now take a look at “The Law of the Mind.” The Law of the Mind is explained to us by Al Ries and Jack Trout that “It Is Better To Be First In The Mind Than To Be First In The Marketplace.”
We learned in the first immutable law of marketing that being first in business is better than being better. People always remember the first and often associate them with the best. So what should you do if you weren’t the first to market?
Al Ries and Jack Trout wrote the book “The 22 Immutable Laws of Marketing. This book is more relevant today than it was back in 1994 when they wrote it. With all the social media platforms, websites and blogs, the amount of companies, and products have increased geometrically since this great book went to print 17 years ago.
